An anonymous source has come forward with code snippets from the ChatGPT app that suggest the existence of potential weekly and lifetime subscription options. These new tiers might be integrated into the existing ChatGPT Plus plan, although specific pricing details remain undisclosed. The San Francisco-based AI organization has not publicly confirmed any intentions regarding these new subscription options. In December 2024, the company had already launched a Pro subscription tier, which costs $200 (approximately Rs. 17,000) per month.

A post by AI tipster M1 (M1Astra) on X, formerly known as Twitter, highlighted code strings from a recent version of the ChatGPT app that could reveal insights into new subscription tiers under consideration by OpenAI. Verification of the leaked information by Gadgets 360 staff members has not been achieved.
The tipster’s screenshot indicates that the code pertains to the onboarding page for the ChatGPT Plus subscription. Users encounter this page when selecting the “Get Plus” option in both mobile and desktop applications. Currently, this interface allows for a monthly subscription purchase at a rate of $20 (around Rs. 1,700), along with an option for an annual plan.
However, the leaked code snippets refer to the possibility of introducing weekly and lifetime subscriptions. No additional details such as pricing have been made available, and there has been no confirmation from OpenAI regarding the emergence of new subscription plans. It is also plausible that these mentions are simply placeholders without any real intent for implementation.
