The launch date for Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Edge has been officially announced. Initially revealed during the Galaxy Unpacked event in January, the device further showcased its capabilities at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona. The company has now provided additional insights into the upcoming model, which is being acclaimed as the slimmest flagship phone to date. The Galaxy S25 Edge will join the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra lineup.
Confirmed Launch Date for Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge
Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Edge will make its global debut on May 13 at 9 am KST (05:30 am IST), according to a press release from the tech giant. This new addition is said to boast the title of the slimmest Galaxy S series device, featuring enhanced Galaxy AI functionalities. The smartphone will come with a 200-megapixel primary rear camera, similar to that of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Leaked information suggests that the pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge may range from EUR 1,249 (approximately Rs. 1,19,000) for the 256GB variant to EUR 1,369 (approximately Rs. 1,30,000) for the 512GB model. Available color options are anticipated to include Titanium Jetblack, Titanium Icyblue, and Titanium Silver.
Like the currently offered Galaxy S25 models, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, accompanied by 12GB of RAM. It is expected to run on Android 15 with One UI 7, and will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,120 pixels and support for a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
This sleek smartphone is likely to measure 5.85mm in thickness and weigh 163g. It is projected to utilize a titanium middle frame paired with glass panels at the front and back, with protective features including Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The device is also expected to hold an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and include an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for secure access.
On the camera front, the Galaxy S25 Edge is rumored to include a 200-megapixel main camera, supported by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor for greater versatility, along with a 12-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. It may be equipped with a 3,900mAh battery and support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
